North America
UL--UL is short for Underwriter Laboratories Inc.UL Safety testing laboratories is the most authoritative facilities in the US,as well as the whole world.
FCC--FCC Federal Communications Commission.FCC is an independent organization of US government.Most wireless appliances,communication products,digital products need to be approved by FCC when they enter the US market.
European Union
CE--Hort for(European Communities),when a product achieved CE mark,it can be sold all across European market, but has no need to satisfy every member country′s requirements.The CE mark realizes the free circulation of electric and electronic products in the European market.
E-mark--From October,2002,according to the requirement of EU Directive 72/245/EEC, and amending 95/54/EC: any automobile electric and electronic products that are sold in EU market,must be approved by e-Mark certificate and be affixed with E-mark, other wise the product will not be allowed to enter customs of each EU country. Therefore the e-mark certificate for vehicle electric and electronic product is essential for the exporters who intend to sell their products in EU market.
There are two forms of E-mark symbol, one with rectangle framd, one with round frame, representing different meanings: Rectangle framd: representing the products that are use (but not must be used) when the vehicles stop or run, for example: Aut omobile charger,automobile lamp/torch, automobile pump, automobile massage/heating cushion, automobile fan, automobile electrica jug, automobile ice-box, automobile coffeepot, automobile TV/stereo, automobile electrical jack, automobile cleaner, autom obile electrica l tool, etc.
Round Frame: representing the products that must be used when the vehicles stop or run,for example: windshield, safety belt, front lamp,etc the number 1,2,…13…represents the ID number of the country that the E-mark certificate will issue to, for example: 1 for Germany, 4 for Netherlands,13 for Luxemburg, 24 for lreland, etc. Namely, the transportation department of the indicated country will issue the E-mark certificate..
GS-“Geprufte Sicherheit”,also means“Germany Safety”. Based on Germany Product Safety(SGS), GS is a voluntary certification according to the EU unified standard EN or Germany Industry Standard DIN. GS is a universally recognized German safety mark in Europe market.
VDEIs Germany national product mark, which means Germany Electrical Engineer Association. VDE testing organization and certification or ganizations conduct product testing according to the current Europe and International standard.
CB-CB scheme is an international certification system established by IECEE (IEC System for Conformity testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment), which is recognized mutually within IECEE’40 member countries.
